Judie's classes are a place to worship every breath; without breath we do not exist. She savors every posture, every movement, and feels it is breath not muscle which takes us deeper into every asana.

Judie remembers when the Wake Up Yoga sun was painted on the side of the building on Parrish Street. She knew it was a sign, but more than just an ordinary sign; it was a sign of things to come. It took many years before she found her way to the mat. Although natural with asana she knew there was more to the transformation and the peaceful state that followed her out of the studio and into her relationships. She had always been physically active; handstand and lotus were childhood friends. What was different here? It didn’t take long to discover it was the stillness before, after and very often during asana that was the juice. When else do we give ourselves time to do nothing? It was in this empty space that she found rest from the turnings of the mind. Judie has found home through Wake Up Yoga. She looks forward to being a part of this laboratory of learning and is honored to be of the Wake Up Lineage.

Judie lives in Fairmount with her son Blue, her daughter Daisy and their cat Bella. She just put in an application to Morris Animal Shelter for a dog whose name has already been chosen: Goose.
