Jennifer Nehila

One doesn’t come to yoga flexible—one becomes more flexible, both in body and mind, through a steady diet of yoga practice.

Jennifer Nehila was introduced to Ashtanga Yoga in the summer of 2004 by a friend who had a hunch she would benefit from it after a series of intense life changes. From the minute she walked through the doors of Wake Up later that year, she felt a sense of community that was palpable, and completed her teacher training at Wake Up Yoga in the Spring of 2010. She is a former gymnast who also enjoys acrobatic yoga, slackline (tight rope), climbing, and running, and finds traditional yoga practice to be a great compliment to all of these activities. Jennifer finds that yoga is always there to support you, like a comfortable and constant friend, and thinks of the mat as safe space where the one “learns to abide in one's true nature” (as the sutras say!)
