Wake Up Yoga offers Vinyasa (flow-style) and Yin (passive) styles of practice: from a slow & steady pace to more active & physically challenging flows, to yin and restorative yoga classes. The classes are thoughtful, well-rounded and tailored to who is present; they are founded on mindfulness, inspired by heartfulness, and aim toward wakefulness. Our teachers are certified, kind, highly skilled and devoted to the path of yoga.

We know that people who are ‘beginners’ to yoga come from vast and varied backgrounds. And we know that beginners, as well as seasoned practitioners, come to yoga for varied reasons seeking different experiences. Rather than levels, our class names describe the mood and feeling of the class, and beginners are always welcome. Find the description that matches the tempo you are looking for, and rest assured that the teacher will offer variations and modifications as needed.

We believe in the power of heating yourSelf up from the inside out in a comfortable environment, and aim to keep the studios between 72 – 75 degrees year round.

Please note that classes start on time; it is best to arrive at least 5-10 minutes before class begins.

Most of our classes do not fill to capacity, so pre-registration is not required, you can simply drop-in! If you’ve never practiced with us before, please sign up for your first class in person to redeem our new student special! Ask your teacher for details.
Registration is open 48 hours before the scheduled class, with 60 minutes after the class has started to cancel–if you do not cancel within that time, your account will be charged.

Class Descriptions:

Brand New BeginnersMulti-week series methodically designed to introduce and familiarize students with vinyasa yoga. Each week builds on the week previous with plenty of time built in for Q&A. Pre-registration is required.

Donation ClassDonation based classes going towards a local charity or organization. Pay-what-you-can with a minimum suggested donation of $5.

Empower Flow: Increase strength, gain confidence, and enhance fortitude & resolve as you move through a sweaty, potentially challenging practice, and discover your innate ability to embrace challenges, both on and off the mat.

Focused Flow: Anchor the mind inside the body with specific and precise alignment and action cues designed to invite safe and sustainable movement.

Heart & SoulFlow: Carefully crafted sequencing designed to work intelligently with the body combined with yoga’s philosophical foundation create a luminous, poetic and deep practice. Hard work is rewarded with profound peace and joy.

Immersion (OAM): Baste yourself with breath; Uncover depth and space you never even dreamed of; Approach challenging asana with a curious and friendly attitude; Arrive at a place of abiding peace, unconditional love and causeless joy knowing that you’ve come hOMe. Invigorating FlowUp-tempo, potentially sweaty practice designed to build strength and endurance, generate internal harmony and leave you feeling wildly alive.

Mindful FlowFind meditation-in-motion in a grounding practice that invites curiosity, cultivates awareness, and deepens your relationship with the poses and with yourSelf.

Mommy & MeA gentle yoga class for new mothers and their babies. Strength and stamina building for mommy, combined with floor poses that can incorporate baby. Mom feeling tired? Baby feeling fussy? No problem! There is plenty of time built in for community, rest and tending to baby. Beginners welcome. Class pricing differs.

Playful FlowThis solid, light-hearted flow-class invites curiosity, wonder and delight with open-hearted exploration of movement, creative sequencing, and a ‘sacred-is-not-always-serious’ vibe.

Prenatal FlowPrepare for the most physically demanding event of your life! This class will enhance strength, endurance and flexibility as it calms your mind, cultivates courage and confidence, and creates community. Opportunities to ask questions, share resources and support one another abound. Class price differs.

Restorative (OAM): Floor poses supported with blankets, bolsters and blocks, and enjoyed for 5-20 minutes each. Release tension and allow gravity to draw you towards the steadiness of the ever-present Earth. Relax. Replenish. Restore.

Slow, Steady & SweetMove with ease through an evenly-paced, gentle flow class that engenders contentment while harnessing strength, moving energy, enhancing flexibility and calming the mind.

Sunrise FlowConnect with early morning’s peaceful sweetness in this thoroughly luminous practice designed to clear your mind, energize your body and connect you with yourSelf.

Vitality FlowDive deep into an exploration of breath and body, movement and stillness. Gain flexibility, build strength and open to the flow of life itself.

Yin YogaRelease muscular effort as you sink into shapes for 3-5 minutes so as to traction the body and lengthen fascia. Designed to enhance mobility/flexibility, build inner energetic reserves and dissipate energetic blockages. Simple, not always easy.
