Roberta Halpern

RobeRoberta Halpern headshotrta Halpern M.A., healer, educator, writer, artist, and Interfaith Minister, is also the parent of two children on the Other Side. After teaching English for 15 years, Roberta found lomilomi, an ancient Hawaiian healing art, in 1999. She practiced this for 19 years in both NYC and then Philly, where she has lived for 9 years.

Her first child transitioned in 2000. Soon after, Roberta created her “Global Rhythms- Dance Without Borders” programs for children and families, in honor of Lisa, who loved to dance.

After Suzanne transitioned in 2017, Roberta began to realize that she could share her grief experiences with other parents and help them find ways to move through their pain, as she has.  In honor of her daughters (and with their help!) she created the “Grief as a Spiritual Practice” workshop directly from her own experiences, which are ongoing.

She is currently writing a book on this topic and plans to expand the workshop to a full day and weekend experience. You can read more about Roberta at her website
