The loss of a child is devastating and can be difficult to navigate at any stage of grief. In the safe space of this workshop, we will give ourselves permission to take the time to honor our grief, ourselves, and our children. Roberta, who has lost both of her children, will facilitate this session and share her experience. Through guided meditation, breath practice and writing we will share about our children and the challenges loss and grieving bring to our daily lives. We will learn some simple breathwork which is grounding and relaxing- something to help us as we grieve. Guided Meditations will quiet us, calm us and lead us to inspiration for writing. There will also be short writing prompts on a variety of grief topics, after which we will have opportunities to share. Sharing with other parents, who understand what we are going through, is helpful. We are not alone in what we are experiencing. All emotions are welcomed. The only experience you need for this workshop is your personal grief journey. You will leave feeling a little lighter, with a deeper connection to your child, some new friends, and some ideas to continue your writing, and some tools to assist you as you grieve. Please dress in comfortable loose clothing. Bring a notebook or journal for writing and your favorite pen. This afternoon is recommended for those whose loss occurred over 6 months ago.
