Growing up in Northern California, Michelle saw Yoga practiced all around her, including by her mother and grandmother. But it wasn’t until 2007, after living in New York City for 5 years that she began a regular Vinyasa Yoga practice. She felt that in Yoga she found a quiet haven from a chaotic place. She noticed the calming effects on her body, mind and spirit. She noticed, that as adults, we often don’t have the time for physical play and she re-discovered this free-spirited and nurturing practice in Yoga.
Michelle completed her 250 hour training in 2014 from Wake Up Yoga and is eternally grateful to her teachers Corina Benner, Felicia Graham Comisar and Kate DeRosa Howell. She is constantly thankful and amazed by the compassion and love found in the Wake Up community. Michelle’s teaching style cultivates lightheartedness, playfulness and reverence of the foundational poses. She believes that Yoga can benefit everyone and that there is a form and style of Yoga for all.
